Treasure Valley Reformed Presbyterian Church

Church Officers

Christ has blessed His Church with two offices to lead and care for His people. The Elders oversee the spiritual well-being of the church through teaching and shepherding and, in the RPCNA, are understood to be of two types: teaching (pastors) and ruling. The office of deacon is set apart to assist the church in the fulfillment of its mercy ministry. The Treasure Valley RPC mission is served onsite by Pastor Ryan Hemphill. He is aided by two offsite elders: Elder Paul Perkins (Seattle RPC) and Rev. Jon Maginn (retired RPCNA minister in Phoenix, AZ).

Pastor Ryan Hemphill

Pastor Ryan grew up in Westwood, KS as a member of the Shawnee Reformed Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Kansas University with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in 2006. He then began his training at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA, graduating in 2009. While attending seminary, he met his wife, Alicia, and they now have six children, ages 13, 11, 9, 6, 4, and 4 months. He was called to pastor the Seattle RPC in the fall of 2009. After eleven years he sensed a call to be the church planting pastor in the Treasure Valley. He and his family have moved to the area and are happy to now be Idahoans!
